SILVER SPRING, Md. - Marylandian -- Friends in Solidarity (FiS) is pleased to announce its upcoming Spring Webinar, "Planting Peace: Uplifting Stories of Hope and Resilience in South Sudan," featuring guest speaker Fr. Augustine Ekeno, SJ. The live webinar will take place on April 1, 2025, at 7:00 PM EST and is open to all who seek to gain deeper insight into the challenges and triumphs of communities in South Sudan.

As a Jesuit priest and missionary with years of firsthand experience in South Sudan, Fr. Ekeno will share compelling stories of faith, perseverance, and solidarity amid crisis. His reflections will explore:

• The enduring role of the Jesuits in South Sudan and their mission of accompaniment.
• Insights into the ongoing peace process and its implications for the future.
• The broader regional conflict and its impact on South Sudanese communities.
