Botanic Medicine Deals with Acute Viral Respiratory Infection and Multiviruses
ROCKVILLE, Md. - Marylandian -- ROCKVILLE, Maryland— As the fall and winter respiratory virus season begins, All Natural Medicine Clinic, LLC, is highlighting its ongoing research into host-directed botanical approaches for acute viral respiratory infections.
Led by Wanzhu Hou, MD (China), L.Ac., Dipl.Ac.,CH, a practitioner with more than four decades of clinical experience, the research explores how specific botanical formulations may influence host inflammatory responses, immune regulation, and recovery processes during viral respiratory illnesses.
Drawing on traditional Chinese botanical medicine and extensive clinical observations, the research program aims to establish a structured scientific framework for evaluating botanical interventions. Central to this work is the clinic's Dynamic Pathologic State-Directed Botanical Therapeutic (DPBT) platform, designed to investigate how evolving host pathological states can inform individualized therapeutic strategies. Which developed through decades of clinical practice, observation, and research, the DPBT platform represents a promising host-directed approach that regulates excessive inflammation, supports coordinated immune responses, and strengthens the body's natural defenses against a broad range of respiratory viruses, rather than targeting a single viral pathogen. Ongoing clinical research seeks to further evaluate its therapeutic potential.

To further this work, All Natural Medicine Clinic, LLC, has registered a clinical research study on ClinicalTrials.gov (https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT07805447) to evaluate the feasibility, safety, and exploratory virological outcomes of a host pathologic state-directed botanical therapeutic approach for acute viral respiratory infections.
The therapeutic approach remains investigational. Its safety and effectiveness for treating viral respiratory infections have not been established through completed controlled clinical trials. ClinicalTrials.gov registration does not imply FDA approval, government endorsement, or proven clinical efficacy.
All Natural Medicine Clinic welcomes inquiries from qualified scientific collaborators, academic research institutions, and prospective development partners interested in evaluating or participating in this research program.
