ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Marylandian -- As a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the White Plains Ward, I offer heartfelt thanks. I've quietly benefited from compassionate programs rooted in the Law of Consecration and Self-Reliance from the good people of the White Plains Ward—reflecting the Church's care for spiritual and temporal needs.

Though my Church engagements have been limited by parenthood and professional demands, my testimony remains firm. Since joining in 1977—after visiting the Washington D.C. Temple—I've remained committed. Today, as a single adult with grown children, including a son recovering from brain injury, I reflect with gratitude. Though I've never spoken in sacrament meeting or held a formal calling since my children were young, I completed over 500 hours of informal theological study and remain ready to serve.

I've weathered personal trials—including a former U.S. Marine spouse whose trauma manifested in harmful ways—navigating that chapter with grace while shielding my children. The Church has been a source of quiet strength. Now, I intend to give back.
