BALTIMORE, Jan. 9, 2025 ~ The PenFed Foundation, a national 501(c)3 organization founded by PenFed Credit Union, has announced a generous grant of $25,000 to "The Sandbox" at Reveille Grounds. This initiative is dedicated to supporting veterans, military spouses, and their families as they transition to civilian life and employment. Located in Baltimore, Maryland, "The Sandbox" is a unique life and career exploration playground designed specifically for the military-connected community.

Reveille Grounds has a clear mission to promote successful civilian employment, job training, community leadership, and stability for military children. "The Sandbox" offers carefully curated programming, career development opportunities, and family-focused resources that not only honor military service but also prepare participants for meaningful roles in their communities.

Katie Kilby, Founder & Executive Director of Reveille Grounds expressed her gratitude for being included in the PenFed Foundation's philanthropic portfolio. She explained that Baltimore currently does not have an active city-level veterans initiative, and the support from the PenFed Foundation will allow them to keep moving in the right direction and in the right way.
