GAITHERSBURG, Md. - Marylandian -- Resilient Leadership, LLC opened the new year with some exciting news! Jim Burns, Certified RL Coach and Trainer, has assumed a new role as a Managing Partner. Jim's involvement with Resilient Leadership dates back to 2015 when he was Vice President – Managing Director at Marriott's Orlando Grande Lakes Convention Center having responsibilities for both the J.W Marriott and Ritz Carlton hotels as well as a 150,000 sq. ft. convention center. Jim was searching for developmental resources to build strength within the Grand Lakes leadership team when he discovered Resilient Leadership and Bowen Theory through contact with Jim Moyer. Over the course of 18 months, they teamed up to explore Resilient Leadership first in a coaching arrangement and then as co-facilitation for four Resilient Leadership training programs. After Jim retired in January 2019, he continued to study Resilient Leadership concepts, methods and practices as he completed required activities to become a certified RL Coach and certified RL Trainer.

In his role he will be working closely with Jim Moyer on business development, supporting ongoing growth of RL certified coaches and trainers, and continuing to work with RL clients in coaching and training roles.

Jim's decision will allow Bob Duggan, Founding Partner, to dial back his involvement in the day-to-day management of the company. Bob will continue to focus on quality control, managing the administration of the RL Self and 360 Assessments, on new ways to apply Bowen Systems Theory in our training and coaching activities, and on producing written content for our website and other venues.
