Trey McLaughlin & The Sounds of Zamar Bring Gospel and More to Weinberg Center

FREDERICK, Md. - Marylandian -- Gospel music will fill the theater this Martin Luther King holiday when Trey McLaughlin and the Sounds of Zamar take the Weinberg Center Stage on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 6:00 PM. They will perform soul-stirring arrangements of contemporary gospel, musical theater, and rich original compositions.

Tickets start at $30 and may be purchased online at, by calling the box office at 301-600-2828, or in person at 20 West Patrick Street. Discounts are available for students, children, military, and seniors.

Trey McLaughlin & The Sounds of Zamar organized in 2009 and have performed with gospel greats such as William McDowell, Kierra "Kiki" Sheard, Richard Smallwood, VaShawn Mitchell, Earnest Pugh, and James Fortune. Hailing from Augusta, Georgia, McLaughlin & The Sounds of Zamar are known for their opulent harmonies and beautiful blends. In addition to their distinct gospel style, Trey McLaughlin & The Sounds of Zamar have inspired audiences with clever arrangements of musical theater covers. Always providing a fresh perspective, the group's sound is truly authentic while capturing the essence of the original piece. Transcending cultural boundaries, the group's music is sung all over the world.  Their international travels have included Paris, France; Krakow, Poland; Menorca, Spain and Rajadell, Spain. Trey McLaughlin & The Sounds of Zamar completed their first 15-city national tour entitled "The Zamar Experience," which included performances in New York City, Chicago, Austin, and more.
